I liked the look of this desk and the drawer configuration. I was disappointed when it arrived in two flat boxes, one which weighed about 75-100 lbs. upon opening the boxes I discovered that there were several dings and chips on the finished panels (although the company said they would send replacement parts it was a delay in getting started). The construction of the desk took about 8 hours, which I did not realize. for the price I think more of the desk should have been put together.

The main problem is the one I recieved has a lot of knocks and damage on the parts, it may have been done in transit but the outer package was intact so I can only assume it left the factory like this. If it was smaller I may have sent it back but I'm now in the process of doing a "touch-up" job on it myself. Examine all pieces carefully before you assemble it so you don't have to make the decision to keep it or send it back when it's half built like I did. Also, one of my pieces had the holes drilled on the wrong side. The company would have fixed it, but I didn't want to wait for a replacement, so I assembled it as well as possible with what I had. Two hours plus to put it together, and the instructions are a bit difficult to follow, but can be figured out. No real wood in the desk, and the drawer bottoms are cardboard, but are pretty sturdy. As long as I don't spill water in them, they should be OK. The drawers are on very smooth glides, and the assembled desk looks very nice. The package includes some extra parts and a touch-up pen. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend it to a friend.
